Goldfish are funny creatures...they can and will eat till they literaly explode! What your poor fish has is, believe it or not...GAS. Yes, they can get gas just like us but unfortunitly they have a hard time getting rid of it. They do, but it sometimes takes awhile. No, you will not hear it like when your father has you pull his finger! lol! :D How often to you feed your goldfish? You really can overfeed them you know. They do best, especially in the winter, if you only feed them every other day. During the fall months, goldfish will try and stuff themselves with as much food as they can because in the wild goldfish actualy hibernate just like bears do!! If you want your goldfish to spawn...put them in a tank in a room that will stay around 40 degrees or so and feed them JUST once a week! They will lay at the bottom and will look almost like they are dead, but they are not. In the spring, bring them into a warmer room and when they start swimming around more freely...feed them blood-worms and then sit back and watch the action! Make sure you have something for the eggs to land on though or they WILL eat them. They are weird that way! Then take your fish out of this aquarium and put them back into their usual tank. In about two or four weeks you will have a whole tank full of little bitty goldfish! I know this was a little winded, but I wanted you to get the full spectrum of how a goldfish behaves. They will ALWAYS look like they are starving and will continuly search for food because their instincts are getting them ready for the winter months. FYI...During the winter months, goldfish will eat from their storage area that is located near the dorsal fin or the top of their head just past their gills. If you overfeed them...they can actually drown! Yes, drown!
I have been raising goldfish for over 26 years. I had a goldfish that lived to be 17 years old and I could reach in and actually pet him like he was a cat! His name was, Fancy. I hope this helps you. P.S.---->Put some "Stress Coat" in the tank...It sometimes helps take away some of the discomfort! Have fun with your fish! The salt you use for swim bladder problems is "sea salt"

Well you feel approximately the man or woman at all times. Every time you notice him you consider tickles to your belly. You get very frightened round him. You wish to do something to preserve him completely satisfied and also you consider like your within the clouds. Of direction do not be fooled via a overwhelm they have got just about the equal signs however you can recognise whilst it is love. It's a deep, powerful feeling that you simply can not do away with.

You might have to change the water more often and if you don't, get an air pump (available at almost all pet stores). It might have a swim bladder problem and to fix this you need a special salt ( sorry I don't know the name) which you can also buy at most good pet stores.

Call a local veterinarian and let them know what is happening. You'll probably get a quicker and very accurate answer that way.

It's probably not hungry and the water is probably low on oxygen, so your fish has to go to the surface to breathe.
