I want to know if I just need to bring my old passport as reference for my visa when I travel to Dubai?

What you should do is to contact the Dubai Embassy or Consulate office and ask the question. They may have particular requirement and the rules may have changed. You should not depend on any answers from anything but official sources.

in case you renew your passport it's going to be because of the image you should provide will make it new ,yet your information,which contain your pp volume,manage etc will proceed to be the same,in case you stay contained in the united kingdom,yet for different international places it would want to variety.
