Cancer women, how do you behave with those you're attracted to?

Just a quick question, I know that Cancers aren't all the same but the lady I'm thinking of has a lot of typical Cancer behavior. She's shy and sensitive and she hides beneath a mask. So, I was wondering how I can tell if she's interested in me. They're so shy and hidden that's very hard to tell sometimes. Even for me, (Scorpio).

Hmmm, All of your answers have been very helpful. I have definitely noticed that they react in small ways. Believe me, as a Scorpio I'm constantly looking for the slightest signs of interest and I'm pretty good at picking up on them. However, When I act on them, They seem to be scared off. I don't know if this is because I was wrong in picking up their signals or because I'm too intense. This seems to happen a lot and from what you describe Cancers are scared off pretty easily. I try to tone down the intensity but it's very hard for me. Maybe I'm being misinterpreted? Maybe they think I'm trying to get something from them when I really just want to get to know them better. >.< It always gets messed up at this point.

When I'm attracted to someone, I always try to be very subtle. Subtle flirting. Smile a lot. Try to make small talk. I would NEVER make the first move, so if you're interested in a Cancer woman by all means just go for it. It'll probably take hell and high water to get her to make the first move. It's not so much that we're hiding beneath a mask. We're hiding in our "shell," which is basically our safe place. We don't like to put ourselves out there too much. Well, I don't anyways. I'd rather stay safe in my shell than risk humiliation.

I think if you get that "feeling" that she's into you, you're probably right. Your a Scorpio, you should be good at picking up some of those hidden signals ;-) :-P.

My best advice is again, make the first move. With me, it's all subtle, always hoping that the right guy will be interested enough to notice and then make the move.

I am a stereotypical Cancer in every way, and your question really made me think. Part the way that I act with guys is reaction, depending on how they behave. I think two big tips, based on my dating experience are:
1.) If she touches you a lot during regular interaction, that is good. I touch a guy on the arm, leg, etc. a lot when we are talking, if I like him; and, if you do go out,
2.) Do NOT push her too fast sexually, because she will withdraw and/or flee, and it will be difficult to impossible to get another chance. You have to let her do things on her own time.
