Ok, here's the deal, I went to The Urban Legends Reference Pages at http://www.snopes.com and looked it up for you.

The email that you got is another variation of the following emails:
http://www.snopes.com/inboxer/medical/arlington.asp
http://www.snopes.com/inboxer/medical/beerman.asp
http://www.snopes.com/inboxer/medical/mydek.asp
http://www.snopes.com/inboxer/medical/jada.asp
http://www.snopes.com/inboxer/children/savannah.htm
http://www.snopes.com/inboxer/children/relek.htm
http://www.snopes.com/inboxer/medical/mallory.asp
http://www.snopes.com/inboxer/medical/natalie.asp
http://www.snopes.com/inboxer/children/relek.htm
http://www.snopes.com/inboxer/medical/brian.asp

These emails are not true. Some of them may be about real people, but the part about such and such organization donating a certain amount of money every time the email is sent is not true and there is no way for them to track how many times it has been forwarded. Personally, I don't know why someone would create them for no reason, but what I do know is that there are a lot of people in this world who have a big heart and that may be why the keep getting forwarded so much.

My best advice is to delete it as soon as you get it.

I hope this helps.

No, it isn't true.
They can't track these emails, someone else could create it to test how far their message could go. sometimes this kind of message has a virus file attached and each copy sent will damage the receiver. Do not send it again, just delete it.

Note: I am a system engineer.

Spam, a phishing scheme, or an open invitation to a virus. Delete it.
