Okay so its become obvious that most women use abortion not because they were raped or committed incest but because they dont want their stomach to get scars. What I take from this is if someone messes up a persons body and sticks them in a situation they dont want to be in they should be allowed to murder them. Is this accurate?

Sure. Someone kidnaps you (a situation you don't want to be in), beats the crap out of you (messes up your body), and tries to push you into on-going traffic (sticks you in a situation you don't want to be in, again). Now tell me you don't have a right to kill that crazy sucker at some point to save yourself. Yes, it would be murder, but in self-defense. What has this got to do with abortion? Self-defense and bodily integrity. Everyone has a right to it, even pregnant women.

What about the woman who is chronically ill? Carrying a child to term could kill her. Does she or doesn’t she have a right to choose her health over giving birth? What about the woman whose child will be horrible deformed. Does she or doesn’t she have a right to choose not to bring such a child into the world? What about the woman who already has too many mouths to feed? Does she or doesn’t she have a right not to bring another child into the world?

In the end, it’s really none of your beeswax why women choose to abort. But one thing I know for sure, it’s not a walk in the park there is pain involved and expense, not to mention stigma, and no one with half a brain is going to put themselves through that to avoid a few scars.

Besides which, abortion is not murder. Murder is defined as killing a person. Fetuses while human life are not yet persons, and the vast majority of abortions take place at the zygote stage when the life developing is no bigger than the period at the end of this sentence. So dude, just stop. If you want to worry about something worry about children, actual persons, who are being raped, abused and killed here and around the world.

You believe abortion is murder, correct?

How would you feel if a woman got pregnant (Whether it was willing or not isn't relevent), and later, while attempting to carry the child to term, finds that if she births the baby, or reaches full term with the child inside her, it will not only kill herself but the baby as well.

Therefore, the ONLY option for her survival is an abortion.

Is it still murder?

The baby would've murdered itself and it's mother. Was it the child's fault if that were to happen?

Is the mother still a murderer if she does that?

The thing that really irks me is that you're a man. You have no idea what a woman goes through when she's pregnant. You have no RIGHT to tell us what we can and cannot do.

Unless you are female, you have no right to tell a woman if she is a murderer because she has an abortion. You aren't in the same state as the woman, you could NEVER understand.

Nope, Max, it is not accurate. The fetus did not 'stick them in a situation...' so they are not aborting the ones who did. Women, and I know many, do not use abortion to avoid scars. For heaven's sake, childbirth only gives scars if you have a C-section. What is your real question? Did someone abort your baby?

I would disagree about the scar thing, but I certainly will agree that people often use abortion really stupid reasons.

Your question uses the word murder.

This is the crux of the problem.

You apparently believe that life begins upon conception. Others believe that life begins with birth.

Those who believe that life begins with birth don't believe that they're murdering someone...No life, no end to the life.

Abortion should not be a political issue...it is purely a matter of morals & ethics, which we cannot legislate. We need to be teaching our children to have control of their bodies...To wait for sex, and then to have the backbone to make the right decision if it comes down to it.

I think that abortion is wrong unless you were raped or you could die by carrying the baby. Anyone who committed incest deserves to have the baby as punishment for messing around with a family member. An any girl who is spreading their legs for any guy shouldn't be able to get an abortion either. If you can't handle having a child, then don't have sex or use protection. It's not that hard. I know if I got pregnant I would keep the baby.

Know this, O Angry One: You are allowed to have an opinion on this, but as a male, yours doesn't count!!! Sorry.

When YOU are personally in that situation, then YOU can comment on it. But, until you grow ovaries and get pregnant, your opinion doesn't mean jack.
