I have lost my train of thought many times, especially lately. However, that doesn't mean I should take a bus. Best to sit it out and wait for the next train to pass by.

No, then you could end up on a Road to Nowhere.
I'd just sit and wait for another train on another track. Eventually you could catch the Blue Train, Freight Train, Peace Train, Love Train, Slow Train or even the Crazy Train. But at least it wouldn't be a Train in Vain.

I do lose that train quite frequently and..... let me see, where was i? Oh yes, I would take a bus but I keep forgetting where the bus stops.
