You are in a room filled with 100 percent methane gas. What would happen if you struck a match?

First of all you need 20.7 % oxygen to survive in that atmosphere; therefore you would have to be wearing a Self Contained Breathing Apparatus to be alive!
If you struck a match nothing would happen(on fire or explosion) because the contents of the room would be above the upper explosive limits. Not enough oxygen to allow explosion.

It wouldn't light. No oxygen. But you'd probably be dead before you could strike it anyways. Oh, maybe you are in a space suit. Grrrrrr.

Nothing. An alkane can't burn without oxygen.

(Also you would die and therefore couldn't strike the match.)

You would burst into flames as the room exploded.
(but only if there was a little bit of oxygen in the room)

you couldn't do that without O2...but if you could the match will turn into flower... why? becauses you know match is compose of.....ZZZzzzz
