I shop in stores like Macy's,JCPenneys and Boscov and trying to find items made in America is just about impossible. I ask every time I look for items not just clothing.

because it went out out style back in 1988 with the first George bush , I guess u can say once he was out of office ppl just weren't feeling MADE in the USA stuff. But Walmart has good us made merchandise like Faded Glory but once money cross hand its cheaper for the government to let foreign made clothes important .. America wants your money so they don't care if the Taliban or Sadam Hussein them make clothing as long as they can get a nice penny

Because clothing can be made cheaply in other countries. The USA doesn't have very many places where clothing is actually produced. It costs less for other countries with the right resources to make the clothes.

Made in China is the biggest.
We trade with them. Our 2nd. Canada is 1st, but not for clothing.
China has a lot of clothing factory's, plain and simple.
The USA is just lazy, I guess.

juicy couture makes clothes for man, woman, and child and it was made in "THE GLAMOURUS USA"!
also try polo, at least the designer is american and what about tommy hilfiguer

because of minimum wage laws. companies can't make clothing in the US and sell them for any price that American consumers are willing to pay because they are forced to pay their workers too much.
