Think of something that you love most in the world. Now it has to be a material thing...like your car, your dream home, rolex watch...whatever...as long as it is material and you love it most.
Now...would you give that thing that you love most in this world up to save the life of the person you hate most and consider your enemy?

Not a chance in hell. Why would I do that... for some noble bull. To hell with my enemies and those I hate. You'd have to be retarded to do that. It took forever to get the complete Simpson's doll collection. LOL

It would have to depend on why that person needed saving.
Is he/she a serial killer about to be executed? Then, no, pull the switch.
Is he/she trying to repo my car while a tornado is tearing down the street? Then, yes, I would.

I would think it over twice, but I know I would give up what I have to save another- just because I believe we are all brothers and sisters( hey , I have a few bad sisters and brothers out there) but still are my brothers because God made us equals.
