No, it will not, he is a very smart man and his speeches are magnificent and he need to be Hilary Vice President for 8 years and he'll be ready to become the President and will make a real honest president. In case you wonder I'm white and Mississippi is the state I was born ed in and you'd be surprised when I go home The racial barrier is not there. MS. and the blacks get along better there than any state I've;ever been in. We all treat each other equal and is the way it should be . There is no color just one color.

Actually, I think his biggest hurdle will be that he's inexperienced and doesn't really have much on his record to run on. What has he done since he's been in the senate?

We do not like to be called coloured. We are black people.
Obama's race will negatively affected his chances - YOU know enough about bias hence this question.
BTW: We're getting closer but still not ready.
After all it's only in the last 2 years or so that Jesus turned from being a blue-eyed European to being 'at least' Arab (a Y!A said - lol). Jesus has to be at least mulatto for Obama to win.

No, but I sense a tinge of naivete will. He's going to have to develop a real thick skin as opposed to color. Keep a clean track record as well.
Right now, he's the guy that nobody has anything to put on.

Just being a Senator puts the odds of 52 to 1 against him.
Senators do not get elected Governors go to the Whitehouse.
Any time you see a Senator run for election it is a ruse to protect the incumbent.

I'm sure it will be an issue as a portion of our country is still living in the 1950's, but I hope he's able to get past it. He'll be a great candidate.

Race is only an issue when people make it an issue. Cripes I was not raised to judge people in such a manner I cant believe people make such an issue out the color of ones skin.
You are born that way you dont decide,it does not matter.

It will be a barrier, unfortunately. America has made a lot of progress in that sense, but still has a long way to go.
I admit, as a Canadian, I don't know much about Obama. (By the way, he would have the same obstacle here in Canada).

No. The only hurddle is ideology. If his views do not match the views of the people, he will not go far. People don't care about color. Just the quality of the individual.
