They say it was from my lamp post outside. The bill was $6.00. I'm going to try again this month with it turned off. I'll catch them eventually!

just have your power and gas shut off by the utility.
oh and if you decide to do what that one guys suggests about pulling the feeder wires - make sure your will is up to date and you video tape it. it's bound to be an interesting death.

if you really want to test it then pull the mains to your electrical service. that should shut down everything. also if you do that go to the meter after and see if the wheel is still spinning. if it continues to do it after a minute or two with the mains off then your meter is faulty and you need to tell the electric company so they can replace your meter!!!

Unless you cancel your service you still are going to get a bill. They have to charge their fees.

you have to actually call up the electrical company and cancel power to your house, because you still have access to power and it's still being sent to your house (even though you're not using it) they have to charge you a fee.
Plus who wants to live in a house with no lights anyway?
