I remember seeing a tv programme about a guy who was able to soothe crying babies by wrapping them tightly and blowing in their ear!Can anybody remember this guys name,or the name of his book?

It's an age old thing, wrapping your baby up tightly in a shawl or blanket, but I wouldnt blow in their ear to hard as you could cause an ear infection. It does work tho. Cant remeber the guy's name tho sorry. Is it that guy that does child of our time on the bbc????

Baby whispering should start while it is still in the womb. The father should put his head on his womans stomach and talk to his baby. That way when it is born it will recognise him and be soothed by his voice.

I think you must mean the guy who wrote "The Happiest Baby on the Block". Using the five S's. I saw a video on it in a mother-support group. Check this link.

i used to wrap my babies tightly and stroke their earlobe this worked but also do a faint tick of a clock near the babes head when trying to sleep - its like the mothers heartbeat when in the womb
try it worked for me
