In 1998 he was seriously injured when he crashed a quad bike near his home in Devon, although he later made a full recovery.

Nothing on the BBC News Website. If he was hit by a car, it isn't serious. As there's nothing on the Website, I'd imagine it hasn't happened.

No, it can't be true, it would be on the BBC web pages at least, he's a big star here and they'd not keep it so quiet.
