Im due Dec 05
last friday i was 90% efficiated and my doctor said things will happen very quickly
an hour ago i lost my plug or i thought it was and i had some brown tinted show and i have to go to the washroom every 15 mins
Im not getting any contractions or cramps but i do feel icky
but this might be normal since my mom didnt get any pain either when she had me
i dont want to go to the hospital right away but my mom is freaking out since this happen to her and i was a 3 hour delivery start to finish
what do you all suggest i do?? i was gonna wait 2 more hours and have dinner then go
did anyone else have symptems like this and have it be labour?
p.s. Im also having hot flashes

I live in the north and the road to the hospital is super bad and theres no sunlight so id rather not go there and come back and have to go again only a few hours later

My mom and my whole family are the same way. We all give birth with literally BARELY enough time to get to the hospital.
Your stomach will DEFINITLY get rock hard, even if you cant feel the pain. I would say that if youre belly is hard as stone, go ahead and go in.
Especially if going to the bathroom all the time is because you're leaking fluid. Once you're water breaks its all down hill from there, epecially for those of us who labor uber fast.

Why don't you have an early dinner then go ahead to the hospital...that would make your mother feel better and would let you know sooner whether or not you are indeed in labor. After all, if you aren't dilating, they will let you know and send you back home - no harm done...and better safe than sorry. :)

I had that brown tinted stuff, and it was because my daughter had "pooped" in the sac!!! My suggestion is to go ahead and get to the doctor.......Better safe than sorry. If your baby did poop in the sac, it could cause respiratory problems and you don't want that!!! Sounds like you are having a baby tonight!!! Congratulations and good luck!!!

I lost my plug at noon on January 5, 2005 and a few hours later I started having contrations. I didn't go to the hospital until 8 pm that night. So, call you doctor and let him/her know what's going on. As long as you aren't having any contrations and your water hasn't broke in my opinion I say its fine to wait until after you eat dinner. Lots of women lose their plug days before going into labor. I'd wait until you start having actual contractions.

I wouldn't wait.It's better to go and be sent home knowing how far along you are because they will check you.They also don't really like for you to eat. So I would go now.Good luck
