I have a 12 year old step-daughter that we rarely get to see. We also have 3 young daughters, so I just don't know what 12 year old girls like.

I need a Christmas gift idea...

She has an iPod, iDog, and iDog carrier... ( her birthday was last week, and we got her iDog, Carrier, & Perfume)

I don't want to give her gift certificates, money, or and Bath N Body stuff.

She does cheerleading, dance team, and gymnastics. She like hip hop and rap music (we don't really approve). She also like photography. She lives in a "not so glamorous" town and its not likely to be able to take her shopping. (We are still working on her Mom letting her spend the night with us.) She is very active, and I don't think she plays video games.

We always get her jewelry. Her Mom told us she already got her a Digital Camera. (She does not have a home computer.)

I have a budget of $50.00 (give or take a few) & at a loss...

maybe a printer dock for her digital camera would be good since she does not have a computer they start out at about 50 at my local office depot (also a photo album would be appropriate)

I have a 12 year old daughter too, who just got an ipod. Today I bought her (for Christmas) a $15 I Tunes gift card so that she can purchase her own songs. She also loves clothes and jewelry from Aeropostale, Abercrombie and Hollister. Aeropostale has the best deals of the three.

It's hard to decide. Twelve year old don't like dolls, puzzles, little kid toys anymore. The things they like are too expensive. I would just give them Christmas Spending money (about $50) and take her shopping. She'll get to choose what she want.

Since you said you can't go shopping in your area, then go on a trip where you can shop. It's fun shopping with your family for the holidays. Obviously not on Christmas day or Boxing Day since the shop will be closed but maybe on the 27th.

She's got a diverse interest set. You could choose numerous things.

A leotard or some cheer shorts.
Perhaps speakers for her iPod.
You could get her the DVD "Stick It" or "Bring it On".
Gift card for printing her photos (as she doesn't have a home computer).

They have printers for digital cameras and you don't have to have them hooked up to a computer. You jsut plug the USB cable into the camera and the printer. Maybe that and some photo paper.

I would go with the photography....I don't know much about it but maybe you could go to a local store and find a camera or camera accessory. (Make sure to ask her mom what she already has...)

What about movies or TV Shows on DVD? Does she have a favorite show/actor?

Sorry for posting a similar question - I didn't realize it was already posted.

This would help me out a lot too.

Maybe you could book her a makeover and photography session.
