When I was in sixth grade, I did a science project on the potency of soaps.

I was donated petre dishes from the local hospital, divided them in half (Not literally, I drew a line over the top lid), swabbed the hands of myself and my fellow students and placed it on the dish. Then I had them wash their hands and swabbed it again. You could see how effective the soaps are.

I even began to identify the viruses and bacteria that were growing through a microscope.

I went and presented my Science faire project to scientists on the California State level. It was awsome! :)

Do your project on The Grand Canyon. Read up on how the Colorado River carved it out. Check out all the layers of rock. That canyon has been forming itself for millions and millions of years. It has many scientific stories to tell. Can you believe that when the canyon first started to form it was all nothing but one huge flatland. I find it fascinating. If you really do some research on it you might find it fascinating, too.
