Alright up till now my car has been the best that I own and still with the minor glitches that I encounter they are livable, but I seem to have to jerryrig a few things to get them to operate. First my Air/heat would only work on 3 or higher now it only works on 5. It does not blow on any other number.
My driver side window will only roll down at normal speed. And I have to dig my finger underneath the button to roll it up.
My check engine light always stays on (however tech said car needed gasket cleaning and did it) Still stays on after tried to reset it.
Like I say they are little nuances, which are ok but is there anyone else out there that is having similar issues and how were they corrected?

There is a plate, or 'bank' of resistors that electrically allows different voltage for different speeds. They burn out. The plate or bank is somewhere in the air box under the dash down by the blower motor. They need to be changed. Dealer item, most parts don't carry them. Easy to change, once you get to them. Usually lots of trim and ducting to remove to get to them under the dash.

FIX the problems. They may be small right now but can cause big problems later. the blow motor issue is likely do to the switch in the dash. the window issue requires the replacement of the switch. your check engine light is what concerns me the most. Find a different mechanic. if the tech said it needed a gasket cleaning (never head of one of thoughts.) did the work and there is still a check engine light, he did not solve the problem. A check engine light will effect your gas mileage, how the transmission runs, and how the engine performs. It's like your body having a pain or ache and you never finding out what the problem is. then your in the hospital wondering why you have so many problems. a 200 dollar repair bill today will save you from that 2000 dollar repair bill tomorrow. Please take the car and have it repaired.

In regards to the heat ( blower ) working on only the #5 setting the most likely cause is a bad blower resistor. Continued operation will result in a burned out blower motor which will more then double the cost of the repair. As for the check engine light I would advise having another diagnostic done on vehicle.

Classic symptom of a blown Blower Motor Resistor. When these fail the blower motor will only work on the highest setting. Usually not hard to replace either.
