Based solely on talent? Mariah Carey. She has the highest voice range and, in my opinion, the most beautiful voice.

Whitney Houston has a better voice than any of them. Mariah Carey is probably the most impressive, but I could do without the over emoting on every note, and 7 octaves aren't all that useful if all you're going to do is make a sound like a dog whistle at the end of the chorus.
Madonna does not have a strong voice at all, what she has is the use of a good studio and access to some good songs.
Aretha Franklin is a better singer than anyone on this list.

Whitney Houston> that's before she lost her voice to drugs. But yea hands down go to her, i mean it seem like the sound just rolled out of her mouth without even tryin. No one can out sing my girl maybe now but in her prime. **** now some people cant' even hold a tune.. in live concert.
