Well, to tell you the truth, the best foundation I have ever found in my life...is also the cheapest: Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse Foundation (I'm faired skin and I use Light 4 which is perfect for me)...anyways, it covers beautifully...all of the imperfections are gone right away, and if you can't really find your true color, just go lighter and add bronzer + blush...good luck! :)

Despite the other posters warning, I DO recommend Bare Minerals for a smooth and flawless look. It's a wonderful foundation that's clean, not sticky, and if used as directed gives you an almost airbrushed look. Go to a Sephora boutique and ask for a free make over with it, and you will see how it looks on you.

Do not use liquid! I used liquid for years and recently my hairdresser told me about spray on foundation. You can buy it at Ulta; many companies sell it but it can be hard to find. I use just a small amount by spraying it onto a foundation sponge and then apply. It really works on smooth skin, also it prevents breakout but is pretty useful when trying to cover a blemish.

you can start with exfoliation of the skin, then apply a skin primer, then use a foundation brush to apply your foundation, i like estee lauder cosmetics, not cheap, but not made cheap, it makes me look great, and you can't tell how smooth the look is...i live by it... i use the correct primer; $ 18 and the re nutriv foundation, $65 but can be found on E-bay for half the price...it stays on nocely...go to the counter and ask them about it, tell them you would like a sample, because if they do a make over, you may have to buy something...

I like Mary Kay foundation. It is really smooth and gives a flawless finish. It also soaks up excess oil on the skin if you have oily skin. Break-outs are very rare.

I love the look that Arbonne's Mineral powder foundation gives my face. Smooth, fresh, glowy kinda look. Plus I have oily skin and it absorbs it. Lasts all day.
It's about half the price of Bare minerals.
I think mine was $34.

Try AVON's Skin Smoothing Compact foundation.

smoothes on with creamy full coverage, dries to a soft powder. Evens out the skins tone.
