On the nintendo ds, you save directly to a game, right? like if you get super mario 64 ds you can save right to the game and you don't need some memory card or anything right?

that is correct

generally, the only time you need a memory card is if the game is played from a disc, because that disc can't be written over.

the major exception to this was on the N64, to combat the problems of batteries within games dying - which has since been remedied... but i don't know how. the N64 had a handful of games that would save to a memory card placed into the controller. for example, ogre battle 64.

You are correct! You don't need a memory card or any type of memory object in the Nintendo DS. As you are saving, however, don't turn the game off. Doing so will make it not save at all.

I have a DS Lite,from what I know,DSs(both DS and DS Lite)do not have memory cards.And all the games,If u wanna save them,it's right through the game. But for further info go to nintendo.com and search mario 64 on the right hand corner toolbar search.Hope this info helps!!

no, you do not need a memory card to save data on a nintendo DS. If you insert a game cartirdge, play all you want and then save, it stays on the cartridge and you can play it on any other DS or your own over and over

you will detect a used DS lite for $a hundred thirty new and doubtless $80 used yet once you get only an uncomplicated DS it might value $a hundred and fifteen new and $60 used there's no distinction in video games only length so purchase the unique DS

That is correct. Just remember not to turn it off when it is trying to save, otherwise, it won't save AT ALL.
