Mine is Eto'o Fils from Cameroon (or Roger Miller even though he no longer plays), and since i didn't get the chance to extend my other question "who do you think will be the first african country to win the world cup?" now will be an opportunity for you to voice out your opinion on that, if you didn't get that chance. my answer to that was cameroon (a lot of people agreed with me, but ghana, nigeria and egypt also had a lot of fans).

my fave is samuel eto'o, but there are others i like: the arsenal guys toure and eboue, both great, and also mohamed aboutrika (sp?) of egypt who's awesome.
country with best prospects: egypt, ghana, cameroon, cote d'voire, nigeria, and senegal.

Eto'o by far and Essien. I also like Drogba despite his damn dives. I think that Cameroon and maybe Nigeria. Coz they're the strongest in my opinion.....I love Ghana though. So I'm hopefull they'll go far in WC 2010! African Nations have so much potential and they deserve more respect and recognition. Thanks for the great question :D

Mine is Samuel Eto'o.He has done a lot of contributions to my favourite football club ever,FC Barcelona.Unfortunately,he is now having a serious injury and he can't play for Barca for the moment.I really miss him and I hope he'll get well soon.Barca fans miss Eto'o so much.Get well soon,Eto'o!

For current players from Africa I'd have to say Didier Drogba. He's a good striker. When the ball isn't on the offense for Chelsea, he's probably their 3rd best defender, doing his role on the defense.
For all players retired or active though from Africa, I'd have to agree with a previous answer and say Roger Milla.

Now Samuel Eto'o, but how can you think of African football without thinking of Milla and Weah. Got to respect and admire those two also.
