If I am correct in my definiton of chastity belts, they are devices that cover the frontal genital area and the butt-area. How did they use the bathroom... urinating and defecating?

Also, not rue if this is the right category, but I wasn't sure where I should put it.

They allowed for this by holes that were properly placed.

To make a long story shorter Chastity date back thousands of years. Starting with ancient Egypt where they used ink, rings and leather strapping. Starting with the rings they were like the puzzle rings that we see in today's world. As for the leather strapping like a puzzle their was only one way to untie it and re-tied it that only the husband knew how to do. Then there was the Eunice The women also knew how to bribe the Creator of these rings and belt makers and had a royal time lol.......... Now to the knight in shining armor. That is when the chastity belt started being made out of metal. Now some belts had a small hole for woman to relived themselves from one area where as the belt had the spacing or a hinge to relieve themselves from the other area. Now there were many women that had died from wearing these metal belts via the poisonings from what went into the making of metal.. Now when a knight went for a while a trusted servant was trusted with the key and if the wife bore a child while the Knight was away for two or more years. Well when he returned home And that child could not be proven to be from God then both the wife and the child and the servant was put to death in a way to make it look like a accident. you know like she fell on a knife while holding on the baby etc...................... Now in modern time the puzzle ring as well as locking underwear and ink are still in use..........................

Note that there is almost no evidence of chastity belts having actually been in use during history -- even extent pieces have been considered dodgy in their accuracy.

However, they had two jagged holes in the correct positions for excretions, which were designed to be sharp enough to discourage anyone trying to stick anything inside.

Chastity belts did allow for relieving oneself, but tried to prevent male members from going in. They were apparently very tough on women, and most had secret latches to allow them to be taken off. Otherwise, the risk of infection was great.

Ahem... You can slice up a turd without harming anything. But those sharp edges would lacerate a prospective lover where it hurt most. Like a punji stick.

They had holes in the correct positions, big enough for things to get out, but not big enough to let anything in.
