Started [if your choices are started, ended, landed.]

BabyBoomer has the definition in his answer; can't remember if he had one of those 3 possibilities in it. [Ooh, sorry BB; just checked and saw "Started" at the beginning of your answer.

started.

1. A first public appearance, as of a performer.
2. The formal presentation of a young woman to society.
3. The beginning of a course of action: the debut of a new foreign policy.

It means to be introduced for the first time. For example, if an actress debuts on the silver screen, it means it is her first time being in a big movie.
A related word is "debutant." You know those debutant balls people used to throw for young women? They were formal events to introduce young ladies into society (meaning they got to go to stuffy parties with their parents now, and they could date). They were called debutants because they were debuting.
So I'd go with Started.

I think "started." Like a movie debut is the night it starts playing to the public...

the options are limited, but I'd take started, as in "The actress debuted in this play" (it was her first performance).
