Make some home made gifts. There is nothing better then giving/receiving things you put some time into. It doesn't have to be big. I often knit scarf, or find nice "cards" and put them in frames. I often give a photo, for example of me and a friend, I enlarge it and put it in a cute frame. Hope this helped a little.

Try this- Make a list of all the people you want/need to give gifts to, but group them into specific categories. For your immediate family members, close friends, and significant other (you know, the people you really REALLY love), buy them gifts from a store or online. The gifts don't necessarily have to be expensive, just from the heart.
For extended family members (aunts, uncles, cousins, etc.) friends who aren't that close, and family members/friends who live far away, just give them a Christmas card with a nice photo of you in it. If you have a recent photo of yourself with the person you're giving it to (a photo they don't have yet), include that for an extra-special personalized gift.
For neighbors, acquaintances, co-workers, etc. just bake up a bunch of Christmas cookies and put about 10 or so of them in a cookie tin for each person. Cookie tins are really cheap (you can get nice ones for 99 cents each at Wal-Mart) and it is thoughtful and shows that you went to some trouble to prepare their gift. plus, everyone loves homemade cookies! There are some good sugar cookie recipes out there. If you're not much of a baker, you can just buy the pre-made Pillsbury cookie dough and add your own special touches like sprinkles or icing to them.

Remember, Christmas is about the spirit, not the gift. Show everyone you love just how much they mean to you!!

Don't spend money on gifts, extra food or have a big Christmas dinner, but donate the money to charity instead & volunteer your time helping out at a homeless shelter.
Have a 'Kris Kringle' for your family, where everyone buys just one gift & puts it wrapped in a box ... blue wrapping for males, pink for females if necessary. Then everyone pulls out one present each. Home made gifts are often more useful & appreciated. Enjoy the holiday season! :-)

save your change, it adds up...find deals...shop clearance racks...clip coupons...even if you save money on groceries...that's a few extra dollars for some presents.
