no - for many good reasons
first, it would be hard to find something that can trade back to yellow - remember in gold, silver and crystal when you weren't able to trade back things that didnt' exist? that didn't just mean pokemon, that meant moves too. many things now have moves that could not translate back then
second, there was the massive item duplication trick in red and blue - which could be taken advantage of via yellow.
third, there was the item duplication trick, by the pokemon duplication in gold, silver and crystal
fourth, the EV layouts were messed up in gold, silver and crystal. instead of the cap of 510 that became solid in the current ruby, sapphire, emerald, fire and leaf versions, there was a cap of 1530 EV points in earlier games
the reason you can't trade to and from the earlier games is because there are too many things that were fixed in current games that would be fixed for nothing if you were able to get to the earlier, bugged games.

You must most likely get emerald. It's one of the crucial exceptional pokemon video games I've performed in awhile. It's very similar to Ruby/Sapphire besides that it has just a little extra facets and a quite specific tale. The handiest truly change among Firered and Leafgreen is what pokemon seem in every sport. If that does not hassle then you it fairly does not topic.

Nope not at all. But you can trade form pokemon yellow to red, and blue, and gold and silver. Any new versions for the ds or gameboy advance sp will not trade to the older versions.

nope, unfortuately no. that would be pretty cool if you could, although you could try using pokemon for the gamecube(which ever one lets you use pokemon from leafgreen) and see if you can use your old game boy games on it. or, if that doesn't work, buy a gameshark for the game boy advance and you can "transfer" pokemon onto leafgreen that way.

ya you can, but first you gotta play leaf green all the way through and beat the elite four, after that you'll unlock a cave. I forget what its called. get tro the end of the cave and you'll find a orb, and it will allow you to trade from all the other games (i think)
