The most common one is probably the cold front. This has cold, dry air behind it. A warm front has warm, moist air behind it. A stationary front is where a warm or cold front has stalled. An occluded front is where a strong, fast, cold front overtakes a weak, slow one. There technically isn't a dry front, it's usually called a dry line, but this is where a mass of dry, usually hot air comes from the west. Cold fronts and dry fronts usually cause thunderstorms, and are the only ones that cause tornadoes. Warm fronts often bring light, soaking rain.

A weather front is a boundary between different air masses.
There are four commonly types of weather fronts.
1. Cold front
2. Warm front
3. Occluded front
4. Stationary front
Cold front is a type of weather front which is formed when cold air mass moves towards warm air mass and pushes warm air mass upward and clouds form. This was because cold air is heavier than warm air. Thunderstorms commonly occur during cold fronts. Cold fronts , sometimes produces violent weather.
Warm front is a type of weather front which is formed when warm air moves towards cold air and slides over cold air mass and clouds form and normal precipitation occurs.
Occluded front is formed when cold front catches warm front or warm front catches cold front this front is formed. When cold front catches warm front is called cold occlusion. When warm front catches cold front is called warm occlusion. Cold occlusion is usually violent. Stationary front is formed when both air masses have equal densities.
