Hey there. I don't mean any disrespect, but we had a Range Rover when I was in High school in the early 90's, and we had a nickname for ours. It was "B.O.B." That stood for: Bucket Of Bolts...My father used to have to adjust the timing and replace the plugs and wires monthly. And, my gosh, the new curse words I learned from when he was outside working on it in the winter. That's when B.O.B. acted up the most. Anyhow, I do know that the engine is similar to if not almost exactly patterned after a Chrysler, if that helps. Best of luck, my friend--I hate to say it, but you're gonna need it.

What engine is it?
sounds like fuel starvation if its a diesel, check the fuel filter and the lift pump if it has one. Not sure about relays, its a landrover not an American pile of junk, 2.25d doesn't even have a fuel relay!

You may have a relay, such as a pollution control relay, that is faulty. I had one in my Viper do the very same thing and it turned out to be a $15 relay that was faulty. The dealer, or qualified mechanic may be able to hook up a diagnostic computer and read any code faults.

these are fitted with 'bosch p' injector pumps which are self bleeding, you have got an air leak on the low pressure side(tank->inj pump) most likely at the fuel filter.
replace filter and new seal this will cure problem.
good luck
