I was working, making deliveries. Didn't have a radio in my truck at that time, so each stop I made I got bits and pieces from each customer about what was going on. My dispatcher was also sending messages as events unfolded. My route at the time was close to a large International Airport, and it was a strange sight seeing all those airplanes lining up to land one after the other.
That day changed my life. Before September 11th, I rarely watched the local news let alone cable news. I believed in God but didn't take His Word very seriously. I put my trust in Jesus after that day and turned my life over to Him. I'm very interested in world events and politics now. I rarely watch anything but news.
I claimed this verse from the Bible after that day.
IIChronicles 7:14.
if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

I was awakened by the clock radio and the annoucer saying that a plane had struck the world trade center. I rushed to the fam. room/kitchen where family was getting ready for the day.
I turned on the TV (to CNN) and watched the second plane hit the WTC live.
Drove to work listening to Stern. Heard them announce the first tower collapsing, then later the second.
Needless to say, that day at work was strange. Most people left. My company's headquarters is across from the WTC site. Knew many people affected by events of that day.

We were preparing for contract negotiations. I walked into the hotel and saw a plane fly into a building, I thought it was some off course airliner that lost control. I couldn't imagine anyone planning such a thing. We couldn't do anything, just sat there stunned for hours. The aftermath was just confusion, and how could anyone tell those people to go back into the building, I still wonder why nothing has been said about that since.

Chemisty course, another teacher stepped in, wispered in the prof.'s ear, he turned on the TV, I thought it was Die Hard, but turned out no. Went to a Spanish course next, saw the second plane hit live, after that saw them come down live, went and left school early, though gas would sky rocket, filled the tank up, and stayed home with my ex girlfriend watching the CNN broadcast through VH1 for the rest of the night

I was at work in this outside trailer getting some parts and I overheard an interuption on the AM radio that said there was an accident and that a plane crashed into WTC.....then of course a little later when the second plane hit we knew that it was no longer accidental. I was so enraged....so angry. I'll NEVER forget.

I was at home that day. I had slept in, and when I woke up my grandma told me that a plane had crashed into a building in New York. I turned on the TV in my room and watched the other plane hit. Then they announced that a plane had crashed near Pittsburgh. That scared me and Grandma because my oldest sister was in Pittsburgh at a doctor's appointment (she was fine, of course). We watched the rest of the day as the towers fell, and later I went to church for a special Mass. I didn't sleep very well that night.

I had just arrived the previous day (Sep 10) to work in Saudi Arabia, for an American company, Lockheed Martin. It was my first time in an arab-muslim country.
It made me sick to my stomach as fellow co-workers and I gathered around the television in the compound to watch what was going on.
The next day, I found out from one of my Canadian buddies who was working the 2nd shift at the Saudi base, that a bunch of Saudis were in the break room cheering the whole event. That made him so mad that he demanded someone drive him back to the compound immediately. He then demanded that he be sent home from that God-foresaken country as soon as possible.
Also, when I arrived at work the next day, all the Saudis that I was meeting for the first time immediately began insisting to me that muslims didn't do it... that it was Americans and Jews.
I couldn't believe what I had gotten myself into. My experience in Saudi was interesting, but short-lived. I left on vacation a few months later and never returned.

I was home getting dressed for work when my roommate called and said turn on the TV. I'll never forget the images of the burning building and the second plane crashing into the tower. It was awful.
