Iam 33 weeks.

not in a painful way. It just tightens up and feels like stone. Maybe only on one side, or in one quadrent....

Ive had contractions, and I assume its something like a contraction, but is mis-shapes your belly so while it happens it really makes me wonder.

Is it from lack of water or the weight of the baby moving or just like a charlie horse in the stomach muscles from all the stretching and stress?

lol. Its so bizzar to have a weird shaped, rock hard belly for a few minutes...

That is 100% Braxton-Hicks contractions. A lot of women don't feel or notice them at all, but I'm on my second pregnancy and I think they're very uncomfortable. All of a sudden my belly tightens and gets rock hard, but not all over, usually just in one spot. My first pregnancy for awhile I thought the baby had just moved and was pushing as hard as he could against me, but then I realized what they were. Supposedly they're good practice for the uterus before it really goes through labor, but sometimes mine get so uncomfortable I have to sit down.

Here's a website where you can read more about them. Good luck, I'm 32 weeks so I feel your pain!!

Yeah this happened to me in both my pregnancies. Usually in the last month before giving birth. I felt a slight pressure as my stomach tensed up usually feeling the baby move sometimes. Sounds like the little one is getting into position to be born. Though it felt weird, I thought that was the coolest thing to happen in pregnancy.

the movements are your baby it all depends on how he is sitting normaly i am harder on the left side with bumps poping out my right side

my boy is head down so the large bump on my left is his back/bottom and the bumps i can see and feel poping out is his hands and feet

some times he will roll around and i will feel the back and feet and hands on the other sides..

normaly when he is moving i am hard to the touch (some times it gets so hard it does hurt) i got to rub him so he will move

lol i am due in two days with my third babe i know all about the weird shapes your belly can get in to lol

Sounds like Braxton Hicks to me. I never noticed them in any of my pregnancies but some people really notice them or even complain they are painful. Totally normal at this stage of pregnancy.
