most economical and nicest is just above Miami in the Hollywood/Hallendale area.

The absolute nicest though is Bal Harbour

Perrine/Cutler Ridge/Homestead if you're looking for a house.

If you're looking for an apartment, there were some nice older apartments that were reasonable ten years ago in Coral Gables near the Youth Center/library.

you can try homestead.. it is still pretty cheap down there since they are still building.. and it is getting nicer with all the stuff they are building.
