Spide monkeys:
They are only found in Central and South America. Are the largest monkeys found in both. Use a type of locomotion called "brachiation". Like some other species, they lack fur on the bottem of the end of their tail, thus giving them a superb grip on any type of tree bark, and can often be observed hanging from only their tails while eating.
Several species are threatened or already endangered. They are favorite pets of indeginous and recently arrived peoples of the central and South American rainforests. very inteligent.
