Here's my opinion. Let's face it: most stars in North America are made by marketing agents and celebrity handlers. It's no longer about real talent, number of films, being unique, or even being particularly gifted.
It's a modified version of torture being inflicted on the public in that, these handlers are over-exposing some starlets by constantly holding them in the public's eye, in one way or another, until most people start to actually believe that these people are unique or special in some way.
Hmmmm... I wonder if that sounds a little like brain-washing?
However, let's admit that, this is how Tom Cruise got to make many more millions than men who are handsomer, taller and trained actors.
So, when he crossed 40, and had mid-life crisis, and overstepped the marketing agents' or personal handlers' advice, by being himself in public; it all went upside-down in no time.
On the other hand, look at J-Lo during the post-Bennifer phase? One wonders if she too is a flash in the pan by now.
Hollywood is weird; it is just a numbers' game revolving around box-office returns.

Yes, me too. Imagine how Lindsay feels but then she is the ultimate Car Crash of a celebrity except for Britney even Paris cannot out do those two girls.

She causes drama. Any celebrity that basically throws themselves to the paparazi, no matter how much they say they hate them, will be the ones talked about. Those who keep to themselves, actually have a private life, are boring and won't really be covered.

Its not just her, its Paris, Nicole, Britney...I guess its because of all of the trouble that they get into and the fact that they are attractive young women. Sex sales and they are all considered sexy.

she makes sensational news, and sensations sell, whether they're worth it or not, and newspapers and magazines exist to sell themselves. it's just the way things go in the world.

i dont see any extra ordinary about her...all she wants to get attention, i change the channel each time i see her face, she looks disgusting, a liar.... makes me puke
