does anyone know where i can buy song of the south merchandice or brer rabbit in shops in the uk i dont want to buy online thanks any help appriciated

You will find it pretty hard to find. Disney have kind of dis-owned the film . It is not shown in the US anymore as it is felt it shows African Americans in a poor light. In particular the Uncle Remus character.

They are definitely not making any new merchandise the same way as you would find newly produced Bambi and Snow White merchandise in Disney stores.

I think your best bet would be to look in antique stores or collectors marts .

Yes it would be very difficult finding any kind of merchandise for this movie. It was popular 9somewhat) when it first came out, but there was an uprising onn how it had shed a bleak light on the black community. Although Disney was not trying to do that what he was doing was trying to show how because the slaves were not allowed to read or write they told stories, in the characters of Brair Rabbit, Fox and Bear, and the many other Characters, There are morals in the stories that Uncle Remes tells the children, but too many people were blinded by Race to see that. The video is not sold stateside and if bought over the internet(ebay) would have to be converted to U.S. VHS. As for character dolls if that is what you are looking for I recall a long time ago seeing them in the Disney theme parks, Beacuse of Frontereland. But then again that has been ages ago for me, going through the internet is your best bet. Sorry.
