Work smart, not hard.
To me, this means stop and objectively look at the task at hand and to determine the most efficient and effective way to do it.
My mama used to always say "The laziest man in the world died from overwork." For a long time I just thought she meant that he was so lazy that when he finally did some work, it killed him. Now, though, I believe that she was trying to tell me that it is a lot easier to go ahead and do the job right the first time.

My motto: There is no such thing as "too gaudy"

Because the older I get the more I like big prints and lots of color and sequins and beading and on and on. I am generally aware of the problems with this condition but sometimes I just can't control myself- I love flashy and trashy LOL

Stab them with a plastic fork.

Reason why. well its the same as when some one is annoying you, and you would rather pock your self in the eye than sit there with them. Plus it would be much much sore er getting stabed in the arm with a pastic fork.

Not exactly a motto, but it gives know-it-alls something to think about:

If you knew a little more, you would realize that you didn't know as much as you thought you did. (self explanatory)

"for bidden is for badden"

probably doesn't make sense to anyone else. My partner and I say it to each other because I used to be silly and say that I FORBID him to do things, and then he said that was BAD.

So, now when we feel like the other person is going to (jokingly) forbid us to do something we say (in a lecturing and know it all voice
forBIDden is forBADden.

see told you it doesn't make sense!

"There's nothing like feeling bad to make you appreciate how good feeling good feels."

I wrote that in my journal when I was going through treatment for breast cancer last year.

if its not doing you any good, take it out of your life

if people stress you or if your doing something you don't want to do, then don't do...don't think about...just take it out of your life and you'll be happier.
