Can Algae eaters have babies in a 4 or 6 gallon tank??

I got 2 algae eaters 2 days ago, and 1 of them died. I'm wondering if the last one could have babies. I THINK the algae eater is a Siamese algae eater. Please answer soon with many details!!

most fish will breed in the right conditions-tank size, temp. of water & lighting!! talk w/ your pet store for deatials! also tell them the one died, some pet stores will replace them if it's under a shertain time period!!!
