Don't betray your friendship and tell his parents. Help him realize it just doesn't make him look cool and he stinks in a joking but seriious way =P Tell him that coming from a girl....alot of girls like a guy that doesn't smoke, it'll make his breath smell like **** eventually. Maybe that'll help. Your doing a good thing by realizing yourself it's a bad habit. Good for you!

I know you care but I really don't think this will solve anything and probably create more trouble. So I wouldn't tell them. Smoking for a lot of young people is a phase. I'm sure if he was found out, he'd probably still do it again although being more careful. (And in case you wondered, yes I am a parent!)

Sometimes it's best to keep to your own business. Eventually things will work itself out. Even though it's wrong, it would still be a betrayal of trust. If I was your friend I would literally stomp your *** for any interference with my family. Just be cool, and don't ever let him pressure you into doing the same thing.

u should tell them because smoking is just not good 4 u. but think at first r her (or his) parents the kind of parents that will help and make her (or him) not smoke. because if they r then u should tell but if they r then whats the bother of telling them if they r not going to do any thing about it

Tell him as a friend you are worried about his habit. if you tell his parents and he gets mad at you maybe he really wasn't a friend.

his parents probably know abt it already cos if you smoke, ppl can smell the ciggie breath and their clothes will smell of ciggie too. You can try telling him to slowly stop, but if he doesn't want to, it'll never happen.
