Protein synthesis is taking place at every stage of cellular development and involves the trascription of DNA into mRNA which are like little fragments that are then translated into polypeptides which are then modified and folded into proteins.

whereas in protein synthesis
when DNA
strands unwind, new complimentry
RNA strands are formed, which acts
as a template for protein synthesis
