Trying to limit the time on the internet by using the wireless softwar but there is a nother wireless network in range that my kids connect to. Is there a way I can not let them connect to the other open network using some kind of administrator control?

I can turn off my wireless router, but there is another in range that is set up open so they can connect to it by clicking on it, I was wondering if I can disable the wireless networking for the kids accounts. I can delete the other network but it keeps coming back when you refresh the networks in range

Sure. First, make sure you've set up restricted accounts for the kids -- and have pasword protected your account.

Then go into the wireless settings and look for your current connection. There's an option to limit connections to that network. Give it a unique name (SSID) and preferably turn off SSID broadcasts.

When the kids log on they will only be able to connect through the pre-configured connection: Yours. To knock them off the internet, just switch off the router.
