You may need to update the driver, reboot the computer and turn off the printer for at least 30 seconds....then start 'em all up again.

Did you run the CD that came with the computer? It sounds like it needs some special software on it rather than plug and play.

Look fo rflashing lights and stuff on the printer. maybe the paper isn't loaded right or the ink isn't in proper.

Try uninstalling it all and running the CD before you plug it in. I know with my canon bubble printer it had a sticker on it saying "do not plug in to PC until prompted by the install", and i beleive plugging it in early installs it badly.

your printer is cacheing the the jobs in the queues. Sometimes rebooting will clear out the queues or you may need to open the box and select to print or cancel the print jobs. Click on the printer Icon on the system tray.(right hand taskbar) open the queue box.

My canon did the same thing and I've done all there is to do including cleaning the circut board............nothing. It's going into the garbage can.

Before you go and throw it out email the manufacturer's tech support. (as I did) They may be able to help. Don't forget to tell them the model of your printer which you did not do here. If they can help great if they can't get ready to buy a new printer.
