Battery cables check the voltage on battery should be 12 volts stated it should be 15 volts that tells you you alternator is working properly.

It depends on the weather, age of battery and driving habits or there may be a short somewhere. You can go to some auto supply stores and they will check your charging system. If that is fine they will tell you what you need if in fact it is the battery. Remember a battery wont charge very good if your only making short trips, using heater, bright lights,Etc. If your live in a cold environment think about getting a trickle charger and plugging your car in overnight. hope this helps

It could be so many things that its best to get it to an Autozone or equivalent. They can check out your battery and alternator in the parking lot for free. If you arent familiar with engines, then I recommend you take it to your mechanic if the battery and alternator are good. It could also be your plugs/wires, your starter, fuelpump, etc.

Pull the battery and have it checked at an autoparts store like Autozone. Wal Mart can probably do that also.

See if the lights have been left on.
Also, an old battery in the first signs of being really cold will finish it off too.

Turn on your lights and look to see if they work. If they work then look in your owners manuel to see where the fuse that controls the ignition switch and look for a bad fuse.
