I dont like my hair down there at all. But when i shave it gets so irritated after a few days. What are some techniques that you are fond of? Do you prefer waxing over shaving? What about Nair? How bad does waxing hurt? Please give me some ideas...

I prefer to shave it..., its a money and convenience thing,... I used to get waxed, way back when I had money and no responsibilities, but now I'm a shaver...
to make it smother and less irritated... I shave with conditioner, put the conditioner on and let it sit there so the hair can absorb some of the conditioner, to soften the hair up, then shave opposite direction of the hairs growth....
after shaving i sit in a bath for a while... then when i get out of the bath, pat don't rub the area dry, then use a vitamin E lotion on the area... its smooth as it will get, and it didn't cost 60 bucks.

As for Nair... don't do it... the label says not to... not to mention, I had been using it on my legs for years and suddenly one while I was using it, it started to burn and then my legs broke out in a horrid rash. They stung for days, I got chemical burn from the stuff...

If you do choose to do the waxing, it hurts, but that depends on your pain threshold.... and it gets less every time...

Never use Nair down there!!! If you think you were irritated before, you'll be in for a surprise after that. The best thing is to get waxed. It'll hurt like the dickens the first time, but you will become accustomed to it and your hair won't grow back as fast. I usually put a small amount of cocoa butter to soothe the pain. After that you can alternate between that and baby powder. I've never been irritated after putting the cocoa butter on right after.

I found that Nair gave me the least irritation (be sure to get the Nair designed for the bikini area, and make sure it stays as far away from your delicate parts as possible). However, the nair did not remove the hair completely.

Waxing hurts very, very badly. I'd have to say that, despite the itching and bumps, I prefer shaving.

You've probably heard all the advice for shaving the pubic hair about using a sharp razor, etc. However, I found that applying alcohol-free aloe vera gel (buy at a health food store if the drug store doesn't have any) really helped.

I hope I helped!

You will get irritated for a while till your skin will get used to it , try to shave it the way it grows not other way around. If you wax then it will be nice that you will not have hair for about a month but its damn painfull and u must not wear tight panties because the place that its pressed (the elastic line from u r panties), it makes the hair grow inside your skin and that is not so nice ... And i agree with u, hair down there its not nice :)

P.S. if u chose the waxing way it will only be painfull first 2-3 times , after that it will be ok , its actually better because it makes the hair grows slower and softer.

Absolutely NO NAIR DOWN THERE!!!!! Waxing lasts longer however hurts worse, Shaving takes longer. You just have to weigh the bad with the good and decide what is best for you.

waxing is better. If you shave and it's summer, you get really irritated within a few days. With waxing, it takes weeks before it grows back and its softer. Shaving makes the hair grow back even worse

Waxing will give you the best results.

Don't use Nair

I choose to shave every day.

Use a good quality razor, cheap razors just won't work. I use a different razor for my legs
You can use either shaving cream or conditioner also works.
I shave once and apply Noxzema, rise then shave again, apply Noxzema again of course rinse one more time.
Remember to rinse the razor often, also shaving at the end of your shower will help too.

If you do get razor bumps, apply Witch Hazel after your are done.

Regular lotion can irritate razor burn more

Well i had the same problem, so what i do is use scissors to get rid of the hair cuz shaving makes the hair grow back quicker. Also you could try Nair that also works good down their.

Sit in a hot bath before shaving. This helps open the pours and reduces the irritation. Make sure your blade is new. Don't rre-use the razor.

The irritation that you get (minimal if doing it in a hot bath) will be completely gone within a onth as long as you do it 2-3 times a week.

The best idea for removing hair"down there" is waxing. You hardly ever get hair bumps and the only irritation is that your skin is red for about an hour afterwards. It hurts, but its over with quickly and it lasts a while. As for nair, it kills your skin so you won't get hair bumps, but the dead skin will make you itchy and will leave red marks all down there.Hope this helps!
