Need to plan a little bit further ahead for any DIY projects. Do you have someone to help you buy supplies you will need?? How about a job jar?? all those things you could help with around the house. Make cookies, decorate some candles, download some of her favorite music onto CD's, There are 100's of projects on the internet but you will need help with the supplies, and to read the directions carefully.

One of the dollar stores has all you might need for a scrap
book. What ever you have in the paper closet is the place to
start, especially if you have no time to shop. A clever home
made present is beading a bracelet on a stretchy ribbon.
A good fun item is gloves. Garden tools, a meditation table
of a blessed book, aroma candle and fresh herbs. Whatever
put on some of her favorite music, maybe make a tape from
records she can take places with her. I remember one of
mom's favorites was iced cookies.

You could make bath salts. It's easy. You need Epsom salts, glycerin, food coloring & scented oil. Mix these together in a bowl, put in a pretty container & label. You could put this together with a scrubby, a candle, burn a CD. She can have a peaceful bath with soothing scents & sounds.

make her a necklace. all you need is some string and beads. your mom will appreciate anything handmade by you, but most moms love wearing jewelry (if it looks good) that their kids made for them. plus it's fun to make necklaces, because you get to design it and personalize it for a specific person.
all you need is string, beads, and some form of a clasp.

First thing in life to learn is you better plan ahead and don't do things at the last minute.
