For a "popular" girl with "good taste" you sure do have terrible spelling and grammar.
Whoops. I'm not popular, I shouldn't have answered this.

Popularity rarely lasts. Helping her to find things that bring her joy and make her feel comfortable in her own skin will do her the most good in the long run. People are drawn to those who are comfortable with themselves. Few of the popular girls from my class are happy with their lives; however, those of us who pursued our joys even if others didn't approve, enjoy life.

The fact that you want to help this friend improve herself shows that you are a kind, compassionate person. Those traits will get your farther in the world than any amount of popularity or money. Besides, while you're helping your friend, you might find some really cool interests for yourself. Keep up the good work.

You or her should not care about what other people think, however what really helps is being involved in activities like sports, joining a gym, joining clubs or just hanging out with people and being friendly yet confident. If you command respect and stop worrying so much about what other people think, they'll automatically be drawn to you (or her). Of course your presentation is important - it's always important - because that's how people learn about your personality, but make sure you're comfortable in the way that you dress - dress well and "cool", but at the same time be true to your personality - don't try to copy people or change yourself, but bring out the best in you and present that to the world!

Well for her attitude she needs to have a lot of self confidence and let it show!! She needs to make people almost intimidated to talk to her(sound weird but it works) Now for looks maybe do her hair in a sassy look at me kind of way.And some nice (doent have to be expensive) clothes always helps.

You can't. The best thing to do is help her feel confident in being herself. If she has to change in order to get people to like her, then those people have nothing to contribute, especially friendship.

That leave's me out. I don't want to be popular and my taste sucks (just check out my wife!).

But I like myself and that's all that d@mn counts!! So I would tell your friends, that "being cool" isn't all that it's made out to be. Being "real" is more important.
