Does anyone know anything about driveline support mounts? I have an 87 Firebird and the shop told me that this needs replaced but they are having a hard time finding the part since the car is so old. Would this part cause a clunking when I put the car into reverse and then again into drive from reverse?

Yes, it is, Is more like a torque arm mount that is bad. Sounds like they didn't name it correctly for you to find your own parts.

And yes, it'd cause the clunking noise.

Sounds like you have a bad transmission mount (different wording, same part) and yes that would cause the noise you describe. NAPA should have the part. I checked Autozone.com and they have this mount, depending on your engine it runs from $13-
$30.

Driveshaft center support bearing must be hard to find. O'Reilly Auto Parts doesn't list it, and Autozone lists, but it is unavailable.
NAPA doesn't list it, either.

Yes it will and it can because it is not holding the transmission right.
