I have a formal dance coming up for school in a few weeks. I found a tie I really like, it's all white tie with an argyle like pattern in it. The pattern is in white too and almost blends in. I'll be wearing a black suit with it, I was wondering what color shirt would go with it? And also if a light pink shirt would look nice?

Well, I recommend you go fo a black shirt. The pattern you described on your tie will stand out on black.

Pink could work for you.Or maybe a nice burgandy or maroon color. Definatly not white because your tie is white and would blend to much with a shirt of the same color. If you really like the tie you will want it to stand out and not to blend in. Don't wear black either because your suit is black and once again this is a "blend" issue. You could also opt for a nice shade of blue. Have fun at the dance ~ I'm sure you'll look great no matter what you decide. Now that you have some good ideas, get to work practicing those dance moves!

You could go with a white dress shirt or a light pink one. You could also go with a light blue or a nice gray shirt. It really depends on what colors you think you look good in. Its really personal perference in my opinion. Im sure no matter what you choose, it will look great!

Wear a white shirt in the same fabric as the tie which would be very classy.....or.....how bout a charcoal gray?

Red shirt! Not pink! just go with the red it will look nice trust me!

well i think that a pink shirt would be okay....but u might think about wearing a white or black shirt

wear black... the white tie on black contrast will make it pop well. Plus it's classy.

i think u should use a blue or red tie or maybe u should use any tie color u like the best or chose what u feel is best !!

i think grey would look good, or a dark grey (charcoal). pink is ok, will look "trendy" :). good luck
