No. The overheat problem is mostly caused by user error. If you have the Xbox 360 in a well ventilated area you won't have in any problem. If you put it in an entertainment center, do not close the glass door because the heat won't have anywhere to go. Also remember not to stack any electronic devise that give out heat on top or below the xbox 360 and you'll be fine.

I have a 360 and had since last year December 23 i had no problems with it overheating what so ever. However after a while it wouldnt play games i called Microsoft and they gave me a new one within a week. The 360 does have an internal fan.

not really only if you play for 8 hours + it will over heat the xbox360 but you can buy a fan for the xbox 360 to cool things down

No, the new version of the xbox 360 does not over hear like when it first came out.

yes it would but over a certain time of usage. they do not have internal fan which causes them to overheat making then a fire hazard. however if you purchase an external fan it would help and the downside of that is you can only use the game system standing up which is not good for the discs.
