the A-bomb that was dropped in Hiroshima was called Little Boy. The H-bomb that was dropped on Nagasaki(?) was called Fat Man. The only reason that Hiroshima had a higher death toll was because Fat Man was dropped off of target.

Whoah there Ahil! BOTH Fat Man and Little Boy were atomic bombs (A Bombs) that functioned on the principle of a massive amount of energy being produced by a nuclear fission reaction. An "H-Bomb" is a technology developed almost a decade after the Second World War (early fifties) where the energy produced is created by a nuclear fission reaction supercompressing a hydrogen core which causes a fusion reaction to create a way bigger explosion.
As to the actual names of the devices, "Little Boy" was the name of the device dropped on Hiroshima. It was designed to look like a large conventional bomb and was meant to the be the working design of future nuclear weapons. "Fat Man" was a much larger, unwieldly device that mirrored the proto type weapon that was exploded as a test in New Mexico earlier that year. It was not aimed properly simply because it was of design that was never meant to be dropped out of a plane.

While Little Boy was a uranium gun-type device, Fat Man was a more complicated and powerful plutonium implosion weapon that exploded with a force equal to 20 kilotons of TNT.
