suppose that you suspected that a ghost/spirit whatever is in your house...what would be your reactions?

I'm sorry but i don't know what qualifies as a 'crappy' answer to this.. um.. I guess I would let it stay if it was a friendly spirit and maybe we could work something out like it could scare away my inlaws when they visit heee hee.

First off there maybe many spirits traveling thru your house. So many people do not know anything about mystical path way that can pass thru people homes. Now to figure this out if you see or feel the presents of a spirit in only one place then you can be assured that area contains a mystical path way and none of them are there to stay. Now if you can see or feel a spirits peasants in more then one area then I would try to find out all that I can about this home that I am living in why? Because many homes have been built over burial place and the owner never was made aware of that fact........ Also if your home could have been built in a area that was once a war zone where hundred of lives were taken in a central place like a massacre. I'd only get to know it as far as helping it get the hell out. My house is MINE, and I would react to a ghost like an unwanted bug or critter (the cat and aquarium residents stay, but all the other life forms better leave.)
If it were a nasty ghost, like a cockroach, I'd squash it. By that, I mean I'd forcefully eject it or smash it into the other side. An exorcism or something. I don't know what. But it would be forceful.
If it were a nice ghost, like a spider, I'd gently move it outside. I don't kill spiders, but I have to get rid of them because my cat eats them and they always make her throw up. So they can't coexist peacefully. I'd help the nice ghost move on (or at least move outside. They can live outside if they don't make too much noise.)
I don't want stuff squatting in my house. So ghosts better move on or I'm gonna make them move on myself.

hannahshmeldon15, how do you know what exists and what doesn`t? have you been to heaven or hell to know if they exist? and don`t say that ghosts don`t exist because the guy said "SUPPOSE" . Why is this world full of smart @$$es?
ok now the answer, probably i would try to find if there really is something, do some EVP tests, take some pictures and if there really was something then i`d try to see what that ghosts wants and why is it in my house...

Do some works (and if you are already a pagan you probably know which ones) to find out its nature and purpose. If it were malicious or had no particular purpose I would Astral Project, and open my Astral Temple to the Infinite Light; if it persisted I would know that it was masquerading as a ghost, and I would destroy it.
Otherwise, I would Astral Project, interact with it, and find out at best how to help it or at least how to get along with it.

If those things existed, then I would try to communicate with the ghost. I would want to know how their dead life is like. After our little, we'll eventually watch The Notebook.

I grew up with a spirit or ghost or poltergeist what ever you want to call it.
all my life I have been around them
they do not harm you.
I do talk to them, ask them to stop moving things around if they do, return things that have gone missing.
they can be fun to have around, they can be a pain as well.
