They're predominantly presidents or other prominant figures from early in our country.
MLK or Mal X would not necessarily ever be on our currency. MLK would likely have a better chance. But both of those figures are very recent (historically speaking) compared to others on our currency.

Because the "founding fathers" and presidents of this country have all been white so far.
It's nothing racial they are just staying in the political field of those presidents and influential "founding fathers" of the young America. Although I would sign a petition to get Martin Luther King on the $20.
Oh and Sacajawea isn't technically white but people don't generally use the $1 coins.

First there is only one $1 dollar bills. There are dollar bills with different white people on them. If you find a US $1 bill with an engraving of someone other than George Washington it is counterfeit.
To rephrase your question...why are there only white people, more accurately only white males, on the US paper currency? Why...that's how it started and no one seems incline to offer legislation in Congress to change the pictures to African-American, Latino, Native American, or Asian-American or even a women of any ethnicity.
Have you ever written your US Representative or US Senators and asked them what and to request they introduced legislation to to put Malcolm X on any of the US paper currency?
A suggestion? When you write your Congressman or woman make sure you SPELL Malcolm and Martin correctly. And you might consider providing Dr. King's full name....Martin Luther King, Jr. That is unless you are asking for his father to be on a bill.
I find it disconcerting that a white guy like me should have to tell you how to spell these key leader's of black history. Don't you?

Id like to see MLK on one but not MalcomX he was a pimp in his younger days you know.I'm sure it will change in the not too distant future Blind people just won a law suit and it says that all the paper money denominations must have a different feel to it so that the blind can tell the difference in the bills. So if it makes it thru appeals our money may be changing soon
Susan B Anthony is on a dollar coin also.

They did put a native american on the gold dollar coin. And by the way there are no bills any more, just notes.
There not bills since we can't take them to the bank any more and get gold or silver back for them.

They put the founding fathers of the nation on them. The people you were referring to were not even born yet.
