Our bodies are so different... and hormones are crazy things which we have little control over.... I think our bodies ovulate when ever they are ready to and that does vary from month to month

Yes. To figure out when you ovulated you count back 14 days (plus or minus 2 days) from the first day of your menstrual period. This means that if you had a 27 day cycle then you probably ovulated around day 13 of your cycle (plus or minus 2 days). If you had a 23 day cycle then ovulation occurred around day 9 of your cycle.
Some women are very in tune with their bodies and can tell when they are ovulating because they'll feel a sudden increase in libido (they get horny) and sure enough this will be followed by an increase in thick clear vaginal discharge (more wetness).
I hope this helps.

The few days previously ovulation is the perfect time to get pregnant. My husband and that i were attempting for months to get pregnant, and that is what my clinical specialist informed me (specifically, to commence having sex a minimum of another day a minimum of a week previously I *concept* i replaced into about to ovulate). From what i have study, having sex once you ovulate is frequently too previous due. regrettably, now the actual waiting begins for you! residing house being pregnant tests frequently gained't tutor you're pregnant till 2 weeks after ovulation (even with the actual shown truth that some have examined constructive previously than that, I examined adverse 14 DPO and constructive 19 days previous ovulation). Blood tests must be constructive a week after ovulation. believe me, i comprehend how not elementary that is waiting! yet when I were provided that adverse result i replaced into quite bummed, even although I knew that it will be too early for me (my menstrual cycle replaced into continuously on the lengthy section), so i ought to signify waiting as long as you could previously testing. Set a date 4 days (or maybe with) once you assume your era to come back, and do not try till eventually then.

yes the ovulation days would change if the days in your cycle are longer or shorter, but they would only change by that many days. so if you ovulated on the 12th with a 27 day cycle then on a 23 day cycle you would ovulate 4 days earlier (on the 8th). try keeping track, go to americanbaby. com and use their ovulation calendar. good luck!

Yes, it can vary month to month. Your luteal phase (after ovulation, before period) can change as well depending on diet, vitamin B, etc. I suggest reading "Taking Charge of your Fertility" for a wonderful overview of fertility and women's cycles. It will help you with the charting process, if that is the route you choose as well.
